I remember not understanding why so many mothers were so often tired...it's because we're planning, even in our sleep! Or at least, we should be... Love the map idea - and I've often found that a kid travels as his parents do : stressed out parents, stressed out kid, cranky parents, cranky kid, etc. Because you & Monsieur J. were so orgnised and excited about going, I'm sure it all just fell into place!
